The LASIK (Laser-assisted in situ Keratomileusis) procedure

LASIK surgery means changing the cornea by using a computer-controlled laser to correct ametropia. The LASIK procedure has been applied since 1990 and has already been classified a „scientifically accepted“ method by the German Society for Ophthalmology (DOG) as well as by the German Ophthalmologists Association (BVA) in 1999.
